The MoominValley Hidden & Found gameplay is identical to that of any other hidden objects game. Once you've chosen the level you want to start, the name of the objects that you need to find in the chaotic scenery will appear at the bottom of the screen. Selecting these objects is as easy as tapping on them, though you have to be careful because you'll be harshly penalized for tapping on the wrong object.
